Coronavirus: Cuba prepared to assist Ghana in fighting COVID-19




The Cuban government has consented to help Ghana with a clinical detachment made up of master specialists, attendants and prescriptions to battle the coronavirus sickness (COVID-19) if Ghana makes a proper solicitation toward that path.

This follows an intercession by the African Union (AU) Commission through its Deputy Chairperson, Mr Kwesi Quartey, in the interest of Ghana.

The commission is, in this way, promising the Government of Ghana to place in a conventional solicitation to the Cuban government with that impact.

Mr Quartey made this known in a letter of tribute marked by him and dated March 30, 2020 to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on endeavors he had set in so far against the infection.

The letter expressed that the reality with which the President was tending to the COVID-19 test was noteworthy and inspiring.

"Ghana can look for unequivocal assistance from well disposed countries which have experienced comparable path, for example, China. We can similarly gain from Cuba and the Cuban Biotechnological Institute which has created prescriptions, for example, Interferon 25 and co-delivered by goodness of a joint endeavor with China for the treatment of people contaminated," the letter guided.
