Lagos to enforce wearing of face masks subsequently


The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said that wearing of face covers would be made mandatory for inhabitants in the state from one week from now.

The senator said this would assist with checking the spread of coronavirus in the state.

He said this during a broadcast media instructions on COVID-19 updates in Lagos checked by our reporter on Monday.

He stated, "From one week from now, we will be making face covers obligatory in Lagos state. We have appointed more than one million face covers to be dispersed in the state."

In the mean time, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Associated Abayomi, had on Sunday said the wearing of face veils ensures individuals around a tainted individual.

"There is some hypothetical proof that the wearing of veils may to be sure diminish the measure of beads in nature from the individual that is tainted with COVID-19 and that is the motivation behind why we are starting to characterize the methodology of face covers for the general network," he said
