We will not take part in WHO global drugs, vaccine initiative launch - United States Government

The United States won't participate in the starting of a worldwide activity on Friday to speed the turn of events, creation and dissemination of medications and immunizations against COVID-19, a representative for the U.S. strategic Geneva told Reuters.

"There will be no U.S. official interest", he said in an email answer to an inquiry. "We anticipate becoming familiar with this activity on the side of universal participation to build up an antibody for COVID-19 as quickly as time permits."

U.S. President Donald Trump has declared a suspension of financing to the World Health Organization (WHO), where it is the biggest giver. French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel will help dispatch the worldwide activity on Friday, the U.N. office said in front of the 1300 GMT occasion.
