Advantage Of 5G Network During The COVID19 Pandemic

Public health and telecommunication experts have pointed out several ways the 5th Generation Network technology is helping countries around the world to win the fight against the COVID19 pandemic ravaging our world today.

While speaking at the Nigerian institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers 5G health symposium held virtually, the tech experts noted that the importance of the 5G technology totally exceed its perceived health implications by its accusers..

While disagreeing on the opinion that the 5th generation network could cause COVID19 pandemic, Mr Uwazie Kingsley (the Technical Director , Huawei Technical Support Centre in Nigeria), revealed that as at April 6th 2020, the 5th Generation network had been dispatched to over 30 countries, and whereas, the Coronavirus confirmed cases had been established in over 200 countries around the world.

While stating the benfits he said the network had a great impact by improving certain medical activities which is aimed at treating , diagnosing and also controlling the pandemic.

The 5th generation network create room for new technologies such as the inventing of , Artificial Intelligence (AI) and creating a big data for improving peoples way of living.

Also Dr Abayomi Afe (public health physician), further explained that the 5th Generation Network also have a non- harmful radiations like the previous Generation Network (2G, 3G and 4G), he said they don't have that enough energy to destroy molecular bonds .

According to Afe he said that there is no prove to show that the 5th Generation network is the cause of the pandemic.

Using Nigerian as an example he said that the COVID19virus is also spreading in countries that has no 5G network.

According to him , the most common man - made sources of non- harmful radiations are Telecommunications, electricity, Tv and radio broadcasting antennas .

However there is no deployment of 5th Generation Network yet in Nigeria at the moment .
