Chelsea plans to reinvest £88m this summer as they put four players up for sale!

Chelsea are reportedly looking to sell four players in order to raise funds worth €100million (£88m) for reinvestment in the summer transfer window.

Hakim Ziyech’s pre-transfer agreement was announced in February and the 27-year-old will be Frank Lampard’s first signing as Blues manager.

But, having had two inactive transfer windows, especially after the transfer ban last summer, Lampard may want to bring in more players in a few areas to compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.

The global pandemic’s hit to the economy will cause problems for most clubs, including Chelsea, as it has stopped pretty much all their revenue streams.

According to a report from

, Chelsea have put four players up for sale as they aim to collect £88m to fund future deals.

The former two are not really surprising as both Batshuayi and Emerson have not really cemented their spots under Lampard.

Also, Emerson has been linked with a return to Serie A, with Inter Milan and Juventus among the reported interested parties (

Zouma and Barkley (who had a few injury spells), on the other hand, have been involved a lot, making 22 and 13 appearances in the Premier League this season respectively.

It would be another story if Lampard is planning to sign a new centre-back and a central midfielder, however.
