See the 1st Ever Made In Nigeria Tractor, Sport Car & Ventilator invented by 26 Year Old Serial Inventor.




In spite of the partly numbers of inventors in the country, some Nigerians have continuously channeled their ingenuity into manufacturing innovative technological equipment , top among them is the indefatigable Jerry Isaac Mallo .The CEO of Bennie Agro and Bennie Technologies
The 26 years old was raised in remote Kunet Village in, Bokkos LGA, Plateau state to a poor farming family. Jerry discovered his passion for cars at the age of five when he was in primary 2 and by the time he was in primary 3 he had already built his first toy car .Also when he was in secondary school he manufactured a moveable car using seed grinding machine and auto cycle gear box.


While in Gindiri Boys Secondary School in Mangu, the young Jerry found it difficult to comprehend the theoretical aspect of his courses but performed wonderfully in his practical classes. He later collaborated with his close friend in school to build energy saving generators, solar powered fans among others. Their inventions led them to win many laurels for their school at both state and national competitions.


After their graduation in 2012, Jerry and his partner built a model car with wood and some rods. They couldn't complete the novel project due to lack of finances .Jerry and his colleague was however determined to explore their ideas and came up with the vision of a helicopter. They began building the helicopter from a miniature model using different metal frames and succeeded in making it fly with the use of batteries and a remote control. When the project got to about 70% completion, they were hampered by fund.


Soon, his partner got admission into University of Nigeria Nsukka, Jerry was now left alone in the struggle and he had to move back to his village to set up a small metal fabrication workshop. By 2015, he had built water pumps, threshers and couples of other agricultural implements .Luckily for him some representatives of the European Union came for some agricultural research projects in his village and saw his innovations. That encounter opened the way for his first overseas trip for training.


This led him to the University of Hertfordshire, UK ,where he was able to enhance his talents and gain hands-on experience on Automotive Engineering .He also had the opportunity of visiting some automobile manufacturing companies for industrial training and experience.
When he came back to Nigeria, he discovered a gap in the automobile industry and created a team of like-minded youngsters. They started manufacturing affordable agricultural machineries, equipment’s and tools for farmers, Some of their products includes maize thresher, cassava press, fish drying kilns, wheat thresher, cassava press, seed planter and more.


Later in the year when the Plateau state government had its first Trade Fair he was assigned a space in their pavilion to exhibit his products which by then had expanded to processed and packaged food products. Jerry however shocked the participants at the fair with the first ever made in Africa tractor
In 2018, he was presented with a car and a sum of N1 million by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as the MSME Awards grand winner of the year and was also given a scholarship to study in any university of his choice around the world.


He however caught the world’s attention when he manufactured Nigeria’s first ‘carbon fibre’ sports car, named Bennie Purrie. The car was made of fiberglass and has a 2.0L 200bhp engine going 0-120kmph in 12secs. The car has four radiators for Nigeria’s temperature and was specifically built for the country’s terrain.


Today, with the support of Plateau State Government, the engineer and serial entrepreneur has started manufacturing ventilators from locally available materials. The ventilator is reported to have undergone thorough scrutiny and assessment by specialists from major hospitals and expert and deemed fit to be put to use.


With his success, it is definitely just a matter of time before Jerry,”the genius” start competing favorably with the best inventors across the globe.
