Presidency Gives Reasons why FG is not giving funds to states to fight Coronavirus

The Presidency has clarified why the government isn't offering assets to states to battle the Coronavirus pandemic. 

The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina who talked on a radio program blamed a few Governors for organizing the journey for cash over the need to conquer the sickness in the state. 

He additionally uncovered why the national government gave assets to the Lagos state government to battle the episode of the illness in the state.

Adesina said; “The Federal Government assisted Lagos State with N10 billion for its commitment and only because it was satisfied that the government of Lagos started on the right footing, rolling out proper plans and mobilising its fund to fight the pandemic.

“Lagos State was only scouting for technical, manpower and facility supports, not financial support.

“The Buhari government felt obliged to lend a financial hand not because it was asked to, but because it was convinced it should.
