The Bible The Koran and the Subjugation of the African Woman

The first thing that will jump to our mind will be how can a holy book be a source to female inferiority. well, we are working towards that dimension. The bible has been inspiration for some, and  a hell for others, especially the females, so is the Quaran and other Religions to go with.,. let me take you down memory lane. lets start from the beginning (well i'll just skip to the creation of Eve for the sake of time). 



The Bible says Eve was created from Adam's Rib. Does that promote or demote the female gender?. maybe you need more convincing. 1 Timothy 2:11-12  says:    Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet, ok lets check Genesis where everything began. Genesis 3:16   To the woman he said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. 



Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.” maybe you're not convinced yet, lets look at Titus 2:4-5 :And so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. Open your third eye and look at it from the other angle., or one most suitable for your view that still permit astral understanding. Lets continue, this time I take you on a tour to 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 , it states:The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church. 



Imagine how the women had felt, how their integrity are forcefully detained from them and still will for some African Women who still respect the African culture that defiles women. The Igbo Tradition in Nigeria wash the corpse of the widow's  late husband and give her to drink during her mourning period to prove her innocence. let's go back to memory lane, lets take a look at Deuteronomy 24:1 :When a man takes a wife and marries her, if then she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, and she departs out of his house,.
