Sports: Drogba joins effort to distribute aid to poor in Ivory Coast

Previous Ivorian striker Didier Drogba and one of the nation's greatest music bunches Magic System disseminated help on Friday to 200 families in a poor zone of Abidjan as a feature of the push to battle the coronavirus emergency.
Drogba joined Salif Traore, known as A'Salfo, the Magic System frontman, for the second period of the "procession of solidarity against covid-19", financed by their individual establishments, the European Union and a land organization.
"This is an ideal opportunity to show solidarity and empathy, to help the most unfortunate in the populace," said Drogba, summoning his "community obligation".
“Not everyone can afford to stay confined for several weeks. The daily life of a young African is not the same as that of a young Frenchman,” said the former Marseille and Chelsea striker and captain of the Ivorian national team.
An aggregate of 1,000 families in 11 zones of the Ivorian financial capital will get cleanser, disinfecting gel, rice, cooking oil and sugar more than 11 days, said the coordinators.
"Sharing qualities are significant for specialists. Culture can be at the administration of society," said A'Salfo.
On Sunday, Drogba offered his establishment's emergency clinic to the Ivorian state as a testing place.
Coordinators said that during its first stage from April 2-9, the band conveyed help worth 150 million CFA francs (around 230,000 euros) to 5,000 families.
Ivory Coast has 688 instances of coronavirus, including six passings, as indicated by the most recent authority report on Thursday.
