Busted: Cocaine worth More than £1million found hidden in face mask shipment sent to UK




The major drugs haul was hidden among face masks
Fringe Force officials discovered some 14kg of the Class A medication in a van which was endeavoring to enter the UK through the Channel Tunnel from Coquelles, France, on Tuesday. 

A crate of 15 bundles was discovered hidden inside the vehicle, which had been shipping defensive face veils.
Tests from the bundles were tried and affirmed as cocaine.



Ian Hanson, Border Force local chief for Coquelles, stated: "This seizure shows the lengths medicate bootleggers will go to. It is disgusting to figure they would attempt to misuse the present circumstance right now get their risky medications on to the UK's streets.​"

The driver, a 34-year-old Polish national, was captured and the examination went to the National Crime Agency (NCA). He is being held in authority for addressing.

The covers have been confined pending checks by controllers, the Home Office said.
