Pastor Rapes 16 Year Old Epilepsy Patient Inside Church In Owo

A 16 years old girl who suffered from Epilepsy was forcefully rape by pastor who she was entrusted with to help in curing her of the sickness (Epilepsy). The pastor resides in Owo town, Ondo state, the name of his Church is Holy Ghost Mission Church Ehinogbe. The pastor, Peter Alatake was said to have perpetrated the evil act on the 15thand 20thof April. The victim has been with the pastor at church since last year.

The victim sustained injuries in both her vaginal and Anus as confirmed by medical practitioners, the case was reported to the police and Pastor Peter was arrested and arraigned to court. The prosecution council who is also the state attorney general and also commissioner of justice Adekola Olawoye (SAN) demanded for justice while the council of the suspect Aderemi Adetula pleaded for his bail due to ongoing decongestion of Nigeria prison and promised to provide sureties.


The court magistrate Olubumi Dosumu, in her ruling granted the suspect bail of #500,000 and 2 sureties in like sum. She as well said the sureties must be a director in civil service, with recognized identity card and a general overseer of a reputable church in Owo town. The case was alter adjourned to 18thJune 2020 for further hearing.
