Lassa fever Kills 39 in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Government, on Wednesday, said 39 people have passed on because of Lassa fever in the State since January. 

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Aliyu Maigoro, uncovered this at a news meeting in Bauchi State on Wednesday, NAN reports. 

Maigori expressed that the main individual as of now on confirmation and getting treatment would before long be released. 

"On the issue of Lassa fever, 39 individuals have lost their lives since January till date, yet as of now, we have just one case on affirmation and he is going to be released. 

"We have remained for right around four to five weeks now without anyone being conceded for lassa fever in the State," he expressed. 

He noticed that 342 contacts were recorded and their examples had been taken, including that, out of the figure, a sum of 49 cases were affirmed and recorded.
